Description
Raising little ones can be hard. Common loons are no stranger to the struggle themselves. They only lay 1-2 eggs. They make little lakeside homes for their offspring, building their nests on the edge of clean, clear, lakes. The closeness to the water can make the loons and their eggs vulnerable to predators, human disturbances, or other loons. However, from egg to chick loon parents take care of their offspring until they are old enough to do it themselves. And if you are looking out over a lake during the spring you might see a loon parent protecting and helping out their chick by giving them a ride on their back🌊
Whatever the species it is important to protect the little ones; love them up and be kind to their growing brains. Thank you for taking care of the sweet little humans, parents – it is a good deed you do!
This original painting is a 6” x 6” acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas (which means it is ready to hang as is).
