A recent commission for some loved ones, this fish was a joy to paint. With a name inspired by the Big Lebowski this bright yellow Dude really captures and inspires the imagination. Through his portrait I gained a new love for painting fish and an appreciation of the nuance of underwater scenery. Exploring the underwater foliage and rainbow bubbles was quite relaxing🌈
I love the calm of the blue and the pops of colors that enhance and accentuate Dude. This piece makes me feel peace and I think it really embodies one of the great mantra’s of the 1990’s – “the Dude abides” 🙏🏼😎✨
