Description

As I was painting this little fella the trees finished dropping most of their leaves and the snow began to fall in Northern Minnesota. As I type this I can see an inch and a half of snow collected on the ground and blanketing the trees in a powdery coat. The bright red of the apple began to feel a little out of place against the bright red of the snow 🍎 But you know me, I love a cute critter whether it is seasonally appropriate or not. In a more typical year I think the snow wouldn’t have collected so quick but that’s OK. I love the snow. I also love the fall and the summer and the spring! There is just nothing that beats a balanced year – especially in my beloved Minnesota. If the bugs don’t keep you humble then the large snow piles and -40° temps will.
