This piece is about the connection between water, sky, and earth. Sometimes I feel like I take for granted how intertwined the three are. It’s like when I randomly look up at the blue of the sky and I realize all over again how incredible, sparkly, and bright the blue actually is. Or when I forget how present and uniquely shaped each and every cloud really is.
This Sandhill Crane has its feet in the soft rainbow water and its head in the brilliantly colored clouds. The air is filled with the sound of buzzing, flitting pollinators landing on the dewy flora growing from the healthy loam. The sweet scent of the flowers compliments the earthy smelling soil and the whole scene sparks the senses. One can feel the season’s warmth even as the fog tickles the skin and it is clear the world is alive 🌿✨
The large birds’ toes dig into the sand as its beak and feather tips softly brush the intangible material that knits us all together. Can you feel it? 🪢🪶🌌
